The Island of Murano, set in the fairytale Venice lagoon, is home to the world’s most celebrated glassmakers. This set of colorful “goti” drinking glasses is hand blown by one of the island’s oldest, historic glassmaking families.
Originally, the term “goti“ referred to the drinking glasses used by the Murano artisans during the rigorous process of glass blowing. Each glass was different from the others so that the artisans could easily identify their own water glass while working in the heat of the burning furnaces.
This modern set of six “goti” glasses is created by the New Murano Gallery, from one of the island's oldest glass making families. Crafted with unparalleled ancient artistry, the glasses convey light, color, elegance and tradition in any setting. Thanks to their resistant glass, you can use them daily for family dinners or on special occasions.
Due to the handmade nature of the product, each glass is one-of-a-kind, so colors and shape may vary.
