The Island of Murano, set in the fairytale Venice lagoon, is home to the world’s most celebrated glassmakers. This set of colorful “goti” drinking glasses and carafe is hand blown by one of the island’s oldest, historic glassmaking families.
Originally, the term “goti“ referred to the drinking glasses used by the Murano artisans themselves during the rigorous process of glass blowing. Each glass was different from one another so that the artisans could easily identify their glass while working in front of the burning furnaces.
This modern set of six “goti” glasses with carafe is created by the New Murano Gallery, from one of the island's oldest glass making families. Crafted with unparalleled ancient artistry, the glasses and carafe convey light, color, elegance and tradition in any setting. Thanks to their resistant glass, you can use them both daily for family dinners or on special occasions.
Due to the handmade nature of the product, each glass is one-of-a-kind, so colors and shape may vary.
