Serving wine in a Murano glass decanter provides the highest expression of sophistication by combining an elegantly crafted objet d'art with the functionality of serving a special wine that has been properly decanted. The Murano Decanter adds a sensory experience to pouring and savoring your special red wines. It is the epitome of perfection and practicality for anyone who loves, collects or enjoys fine wine.
Decanting makes it possible for fine wines to “open up” and properly aerate before being served...especially more robust red wines. Depending on the age of the wine (i.e. vintage), it is best to open the wine bottle and decant it anywhere between 20 minutes to 2 hours or more before serving.
The Island of Murano, set in the fairytale Venice lagoon, is home to the world’s most celebrated glassmakers. This beautiful decanter is created by the New Murano Gallery, which is operated by one of the island’s oldest historic glassmaking families. Crafted with unparalleled ancient artistry, the decanter conveys light, color, elegance and tradition in any setting. Thanks to the resistant glass, you can use it daily for family dinners or on special occasions.
This striking Phoenician Blue Decanter is handmade, so each decanter is a unique piece with distinct variations in hue and shape. Minerals added to the glass give it its vibrant color and designs. The molten liquid glass mixture is mouth-blown and/or hand-crafted by master glassmakers in a series of ancient, special and elaborate steps.
